StoryStage Books An interactive, personal and educational web-based and cdRom Play Series. The story forms of fairytales, theatre classics, and contemporary short literary works are taken and adapted to play scenarios where the user participates in the production experience.

StoryStage Books can be applied as an introduction to or study of a broad spectrum of Literary Works through computer theatre.

Using interActive, mutiMedia innovations to make path choices with different results, StoryStage Books communicate any story through the use of traditional theatrical techniques and tools:


• Discovery of the narrative through stage directions

• Interaction with fictional characters

• Design capabilities through various options:

• Affect the atmosphere through lighting and sound choices

• Select costumes and properties

• Build a character by adapting the traits of each role

• Choose the venue

• Use the cursor as a spotlight to highlight an area of the stage

• Adapt vocabulary reading levels to suit age and comprehensibility

• Role play by taking a scene and playing it through any character's point of view,

OR

• Sit back and watch the action play itself out to the finale through text,
illustrations and video animation

• Appendices can include:

- Play production notes

- Exercises and directions for a presentation of the play

- Glossary of terms with detailed definitions
